After installing sign2.me for Salesforce, you need to assign the proper Permission Sets to users based on their roles and level of access within the app.
For Admins
Admins have full access to configure and manage sign2.me, including site setup, templates, and envelopes.
1. Open Setup
- Click the ⚙️ Gear icon → Setup.
2. Go to Permission Sets
- In the Quick Find box, type Permission Sets and click the option.
3. Assign the “sign2.me – Admin User Permission Set”
- Select sign2.me – Admin User Permission Set.
- Click Manage Assignments → Add Assignments.
- Select the users who will act as administrators.
- Click Assign.
This permission grants:
- Full access to all sign2.me objects and settings.
- Ability to configure envelope templates.
- Manage company settings, notifications, and app-level configurations.
- Access to logs, document templates, and envelope records.
For Users
Regular users are responsible for sending envelopes, tracking signatures, and viewing documents, but they don’t have access to global configurations.
1. Open Setup
- Click the ⚙️ Gear icon → Setup.
2. Go to Permission Sets
- In the Quick Find box, type Permission Sets and click the option.
3. Assign the “sign2.me – User Permission Set”
- Select sign2.me – User Permission Set.
- Click Manage Assignments → Add Assignments.
- Choose the users who will send or manage envelopes.
- Click Assign.
This permission grants:
- Access to the sign2.me App and related components.
- Ability to create and send envelopes.
- Access to view signatures, documents, and signer status.
- Limited configuration access (user-level actions only).
Optional: Apply User Notification
This permission is optional and enables Salesforce in-app notifications for envelope-related events.
sign2.me – Apply User Notification – Assign to users who should receive notifications when:
- An envelope is sent.
- An envelope is signed.
- An envelope is completed or declined.
🛈 Tip: You can combine this permission with either User or Admin permission sets.
For Guest User (Site Access)
This permission must be assigned to the Guest User of your Salesforce Site to allow public access for signers to view and sign envelopes.
- Go to Setup → Sites.
- Open your sign2.me Site.
- Click Public Access Settings.
- Under Permission Set Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
- Add sign2.me – Guest User Permission Set and save.
This permission grants:
- Access to public Visualforce pages used for signing.
- Read-only access to related objects required for signature processing.
- Secure access to envelope documents via site URLs.
