An Envelope Template is a reusable model for sending documents via electronic signature. It centralizes and standardizes settings, messages, reminder frequency, and completion rules, ensuring consistency and efficiency in each signing process.

By using templates, the signing workflow becomes faster and more intuitive, reducing the risk of manual errors and ensuring greater compliance with company policies. In addition, templates provide convenience for users and stronger administrative control over signature flows.

Access the Object in Salesforce

  1. In Lightning Experience, click the App Launcher (9-dot icon).
  2. Open the sign2.me app.
  3. Go to the Envelope Templates tab.

Create a New Template

Click New.


Complete the Fields in the Recommended Order:

Fill out the Information section

Envelope Template Name (required)
Enter a name to identify the template.

Owner
Select the user who owns the template.

Company Setting Name
Link the previously created Company Setting.

Reminder
Set the frequency of automatic reminders.

Finish When (required)
Choose between:

  • Automatically after the signature is completed.
  • Manually or on the expiration date.

Allow Comments
Check this box if you want to allow signers to add comments.

Message
Write a personalized message that will appear in the signer’s email (e.g., “Hello, please review and sign the attached contract”).

Save

Click Save to apply the settings.
